Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 8/13/2013

Receipts:  1934    Last Week:  522    Year Ago:  2051

   Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers under 600 lbs 5.00-10.00 higher, over
600 lbs 3.00-5.00 higher. Feeder heifers 3.00-6.00 higher. Slaughter cows 
steady. Supply heavy. Near 6 percent of the offering was cows and 73 percent of 
the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 53 percent steers and
bulls and 47 percent heifers. Several large consignments of nice cattle this 
week with lots of good steers weighing 600-700 lbs including two full loads of
reputation blacks weighing around 650 lbs. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  300-350 lbs 197.50-209.00; 400-500 lbs
176.50-191.25; 500-600 lbs 175.00-182.00; 600-700 lbs 156.50-171.85, two loads
