Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 2/12/2013

   Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers 2.00 to 8.00 lower except 
steers under 500 lbs 10.00 to 15.00 lower. Slaughter cows steady. Supply light.
Near 10 percent of the offering was cows and 40 percent of the feeders were
over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 65 percent steers and bulls and 35
percent heifers. The market is a little spooked right now partly due to talk of 
possible sequester cuts to federal meat inspection and a ban on US beef by
Russia. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 184.00-203.00; 400-500 lbs
167.50-186.00; 500-600 lbs 151.50-171.50; 600-700 lbs 135.50-153.00; 700-
800 lbs 132.75-135.00; small package 878 lbs 128.00. Medium and Large 1-2  300-
400 lbs 170.00-191.00; 400-500 lbs 158.00-180.00; 500-600 lbs 143.00-160.00; 
600-700 lbs 131.50-145.00; 700-750 lbs 128.75-131.00. 

   Feeder Holsteins: Large 3 package 857 lbs 91.00.
