Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 7/26/2017
Receipts: 1006 Week Ago: 397 Year Ago: 614
Feeder steers 2.00-5.00 higher with few comparable sales available from
last week. Feeder heifers steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter cows firm to 2.00
higher. Supply moderate. Near 4 percent of the offering were cows and 60
percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 70
percent steers and bulls and 30 percent heifers. The feeder market seems to
have shrugged off Friday?s Cattle on Feed report which showed June placements
at 116. Good buyer attendance with mostly medium size consignments of good to
very good quality cattle.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 350-400 lbs few 179.00-187.00; 450-
500 lbs 168.00-183.00; 500-600 lbs 163.50-177.50; 600-700 lbs 153.00-170.25;
700-800 lbs 141.00-161.25; 11 head 850 lbs 136.50. Medium and Large 1-2
600-650 lbs 146.50-159.00, 31 head thin 630 lbs 167.50; small package 775 lbs
138.50. Medium and Large 2 package 715 lbs 132.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 350-400 lbs 160.00-179.00; 400-500 lbs
148.00-166.00; 500-600 lbs 148.00-159.25; 600-700 lbs 137.00-151.25, small
package fleshy 665 lbs 136.00; 700-750 lbs 136.00-139.50. Medium and Large 1-2
package 275 lbs 157.00; 400-450 lbs few 148.00-160.00; 500-550 lbs 145.00-
150.00; package 770 lbs 130.00. Medium and Large 2 500-600 lbs 131.00-138.00.
