Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 5/10/2017

   Compared to the sale two weeks ago, feeder steers 2.00-6.00 higher. 
Feeder heifers 400-600 lbs 5.00-10.00 higher, other weights near steady. 
Slaughter cows 1.00-2.00 higher. Supply heavy. Near 7 percent of the offering
were cows and 28 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply
approximately 65 percent steers and bulls and 35 percent heifers. Lots of
fancy fall calves in town this week with numerous reputation consignments
weighing 450-600 lbs. The run up in futures and cash over the past couple of
weeks appears to be out of steam at least for now with limited feedlot sales
developing Wednesday 7.00/cwt lower than last week. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  small package 265 lbs 262.00; 300-
400 lbs 198.00-220.00; 400-500 lbs 180.00-198.50; 500-600 lbs 162.00-195.75;
600-700 lbs 152.50-169.50; 700-800 lbs 146.50-151.25, package fleshy 745 lbs
