Feeder Cattle Auction Report for  4/12/2017

   Based on limited comparisons from last Wednesday, feeder steers and 
heifers under 475 lbs 6.00-10.00 higher, 475-600 lbs 2.00-6.00 higher.
Weights over 600 lbs sold with a higher undertone with no comparable sales
from last week. Slaughter cows 3.00-5.00 lower. Supply moderate. Near 10
percent of the offering were cows and 37 percent of the feeders were over
600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 51 percent steers and bulls and 49
percent heifers. The feeder market has bounced back nicely this week 
spurred by a strong rebound in feeder futures prices. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 184.00-197.00; 400-
500 lbs 173.00-190.00, few thin/fancy 201.00-206.00; 500-600 lbs 155.00-
176.00; 600-650 lbs 145.50-152.50, small package fleshy calves 610 lbs
135.00; small package fleshy 675 lbs 138.00; 30 head 770 lbs 134.50. 
Medium and Large 1-2  350-400 lbs 172.00-182.00; 550-600 lbs 150.00-159.00;
650-700 lbs 142.00-146.00. Large 1  600-700 lbs 130.00-145.00. 

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 158.00-172.00; 400-
500 lbs 140.00-166.00; 500-600 lbs 135.00-144.00; 600-650 lbs 135.00-
138.75, few fleshy calves 121.50-125.00; 800-850 lbs 115.00-115.50. Medium
and Large 1-2  300-400 lbs 150.00-164.00; 400-500 lbs 140.00-152.00; 500-
