Feeder Cattle Auction Report for  3/29/2017

   Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers under 600 lbs 2.00-5.00 higher,
over 600 lbs steady. Feeder heifers under 475 lbs 2.00-6.00 higher, 475-
550 lbs, 2.00-5.00 lower and over 550 lbs near steady. Slaughter cows 1.00-
2.00 higher. Supply moderate. Near 24 percent of the offering were cows and
10 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 60
percent steers and bulls and 40 percent heifers. Special cow sale followed the
feeders featuring several good quality middle-aged pairs. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 185.00-203.00; 400-500 lbs
174.00-187.00; 500-600 lbs 157.00-180.50, 22 head thin 500 lbs 184.00, few 
fleshy 150.50-154.50; 600-650 lbs 147.50-148.50; 13 head fleshy calves 665 lbs
129.00; 750-800 lbs 130.00-134.00. Medium and large 1-2  350-400 lbs 175.00-
181.00; 450-500 lbs 170.00-171.00; 500-550 lbs 158.00-176.50; package 600 lbs
144.50. Medium and Large 2  590-620 lbs 133.00-137.50.

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1  9 head thin 230 lbs 198.00; 300-400 lbs
163.00-181.00; 400-500 lbs 144.00-159.00; 500-600 lbs 131.00-146.50; 600-
650 lbs 133.00-136.50, small package calves 625 lbs 129.00. Medium and Large 
1-2  400-500 lbs 138.00-155.50.

   Feeder bulls: Medium and Large 1-2  small package 575 lbs 146.50.

   Cow and calf pairs: Medium and Large 1-2, 4-7 years, 1050-1375 lbs, bred 
back in first to second stage with 275-425 lb calves 1625.00-1975.00 per pair.

   Medium and Large 1-2, 5 years to short and solid, 1075-1300 lbs, with 125-
250 lb calves 1175.00-1700.00 per pair.
