Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 1/11/2017

   Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers under 650 lbs steady to 3.00 
higher, over 650 lbs 1.00-2.00 lower. Feeder heifers under 550 lbs 2.00-
6.00 lower, over 550 lbs. steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter cows steady. 
Supply moderate. Near 11 percent of the offering were cows and 33 percent of
the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply approximately 56 percent steers
and bulls and 44 percent heifers. Special cow sale followed the feeders 
highlighted by two consignments of high quality third period heifers. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 176.00-201.00, small
package fleshy 320 lbs 170; 400-500 lbs 154.50-175.00; 500-600 lbs 142.00-
161.00; 600-700 lbs 132.00-146.75; 700-750 lbs 129.50-134.00. Medium and 
Large 1-2  400-450 lbs 152.00-164.00; 500-550 lbs 142.00-156.50; 700-750 lbs
few 124.00-127.00. Medium and Large 2  small package 595 lbs 124.75.

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 136.00-158.00; 400-
500 lbs 132.00-140.00; 500-600 lbs 121.75-134.00; 600-700 lbs 121.00-126.00,
several calves/fleshy 116.00-121.00; 700-800 lbs 116.00-125.25; package
fleshy 990 lbs 106.25. Medium and Large 1-2  400-500 lbs 123.50-136.00; 500-
550 lbs 120.00-126.00; small package 670 lbs 112.00. 

   Feeder bulls: Medium and Large 1-2  package 385 lbs 155.00; 400-500 lbs
140.00-174.50; 500-600 lbs 116.00-133.00; 675-750 lbs 108.00-117.00.

1675.00 per head. 

   Cow and calf pairs: Package Medium and Large 1, 4 years, 1050-1150 lbs, 
with 100-150 lb calves 2000.00 per pair. 
   Medium and Large 1-2, 2 years to short and solid, 1025-1500 lbs, with
125-250 lb calves 1400.00-1600.00 per pair.
