Feeder Cattle Auction Report for  10/12/2016

   Based on a very limited market test, feeder steers and heifers under
600 lbs 2.00-8.00 lower. A few packages of steers and steer calves over
600 lbs sold with a lower undertone with no recent comparable sales available.
Slaughter cows 2.00-3.00 lower. Supply light. Near 20 percent of the offering
were cows and 30 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply
approximately 65 percent steers and bulls and 35 percent heifers. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  350-400 lbs 131.00-155.00; 400-
450 lbs 120.00-151.00; 500-600 lbs 112.00-121.00, package fleshy 540 lbs
108.00; 600-700 lbs calves 104.00-108.00; 700-750 lbs 112.00-118.00. Large 1
small package 585 lbs 104.00; small package calves 640 lbs 102.50.

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  350-400 lbs 112.00-115.00; 400-
500 lbs 106.00-112.00; package fleshy 545 lbs 108.00. Large 1  450-400 lbs 
few 97.00.
