Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 7/30/2014

Cattle Receipts:  509    Last Week:  880    Last Year:  348

   Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers and heifers 6.00-12.00 higher. 
Slaughter cows 4.00-6.00 higher. Supply light. Near 10 percent of the offering
was cows and 30 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply 
approximately 59 percent steers and bulls and 41 percent heifers. Live and 
feeder contracts are continuing their rampage of the last several days with 
feedlot showlists this week priced at 168.00-170.00/cwt.   

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  350-400 lbs 292.00-310.00; 400-
500 lbs 255.00-286.00; 500-600 lbs 240.00-255.00;  600-700 lbs 241.00-250.00, 
small package full 690 lbs 226.00; 750-800 lbs few 216.00-226.00. Medium 2-3
package 470 lbs 235.00.  

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  350-400 lbs 244.00-271.00; 400-
500 lbs 229.00-259.00; 500-600 lbs 213.50-239.00; 600-700 lbs 227.00-235.00; 
small package 730 lbs 202.50. Medium and Large 2 400-450 lbs few 225.00-240.00.
Large 1  small package 605 lbs 210.00. Medium 1-2  550-600 lbs few 206.00-
209.50. Medium 2  small package 430 lbs 210.00. 

   Feeder bulls: Medium and Large 1-2  400-450 lbs 266.00-282.00; 500-600 lbs
220.00-241.00; 600-700 lbs 206.50-221.50; 800-850 lbs 172.50-194.00.
