Feeder Cattle Auction Report for  7/23/2014

Cattle Receipts:  880    Last Week:  1307    Last Year: 502

   Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers under 700 lbs steady, over 700 lbs
3.00-5.00 higher. Feeder heifers near 450 lbs 4.00-6.00 higher, other weights
steady. Slaughter cows 1.00-3.00 higher. Supply light. Near 9 percent of the
offering was cows and 30 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply
approximately 60 percent steers and bulls and 40 percent heifers. Live and feeder 
contracts have now rebounded to the record levels seen two weeks ago,
aided by continuing strong market fundamentals with this week?s feedlot showlists
priced at 1.60/cwt.   

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  small package 275 lbs 303.00; 350-400 lbs
291.00-302.50; 400-500 lbs 252.00-281.00; 500-600 lbs 230.00-243.00; 600-700 lbs
231.00-238.00; 700-750 lbs 228.00-229.00; 25 head 825 lbs 214.00. Medium and 
Large 1-2  350-400 lbs 280.00-297.50, package thin 350 lbs 310.00; 400-500 lbs
246.00-273.00; 500-600 lbs 230.00-243.00; 650-700 lbs 227.00-228.00. Large 1
