Feeder Cattle Auction Report 6/11/2014

Receipts:  2002    Last Week:  1701    Year Ago:  1975

   Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers 8.00-10.00 higher. Feeder
heifers 4.00-10.00 higher. Slaughter cows steady. Supply heavy. Near 3 percent
of the offering was cows and 27 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. 
Feeder supply approximately 67 percent steers and bulls and 33 percent heifers.
More of the area?s top feeder cattle came to town this week with the quality 
probably even a notch higher than last week. The market continues to charge on
to higher levels with very bullish price expectations and visions of a record
breaking corn crop. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 275.00-295.00; 400-500 lbs
262.00-275.00, few thin 276.00-282.00; 500-600 lbs 235.00-267.50, several thin/
value added 266.00-271.00, 14 head fleshy 590 lbs 226.00; 600-700 lbs 226.00-
252.50, package fleshy 620 lbs 218.00; 700-750 lbs 204.00-225.00. Medium and 
Large 1-2  300-400 lbs 271.00-281.00, package thin 395 lbs 290.00; 400-500 lbs
240.00-267.00; 500-600 lbs 225.00-255.00, 11 head fleshy 575 lbs 215.00; 22 head
thin 635 lbs 233.00; small package 680 lbs 208.00; 700-750 lbs 201.50-209.50, 
small package calves 740 lbs 196.00. Medium and Large 2  600-650 lbs 212.00-
218.00. Large 3 Holsteins  small package 340 lbs 171.00.
