Feeder Cattle Auction Report for  8/21/2013

Receipts:  1726    Last Week:  196    Year Ago:  1867

   Compared to the sale two weeks ago, feeder steers under 650 lbs steady to
3.00 higher with a few under 400 lbs 5.00-10.00 higher. Steers over 650 lbs 
3.00-6.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 500 lbs steady, over 500 lbs 3.00-6.00
higher. Slaughter cows steady to 1.00 higher. Supply moderate. Near 4 percent
of the offering was cows and 55 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder
supply approximately 62 percent steers and 38 percent heifers. Lots of good 
quality cattle this week weighing mostly 550-750 lbs.  

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 205.00-216.00; 400-500 lbs
175.00-192.00; 500-600 lbs 163.00-191.00; 600-700 lbs 157.50-169.00, few calves
145.00-161.00; 700-800 lbs 152.50-167.00; 800-900 lbs 144.50-154.00. Medium and
large 1-2  250-300 lbs few 205.00-213.00; 400-500 lbs 175.00-183.00; 500-600 lbs
161.00-176.00; 600-700 lbs 155.00-165.00; 700-800 lbs 148.00-168.00; 38 head
810 lbs 154.00. Medium and Large 2  450-500 lbs 163.00-172.00; 700-820 lbs 
126.00-135.00. Medium 1-2  400-500 lbs 165.00-175.00; 500-550 lbs 155.00-162.00.
