Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 5/29/2013

Receipts:  307    Last Week:  675    Year Ago:  711

   Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers and heifers not well tested. 
Slaughter cows steady to 1.00 lower. Supply light. Near 25 percent of the
offering were cows and 19 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder
supply approximately 48 percent steers and bulls and 52 percent heifers. 
Light run following the Memorial Day weekend with much larger numbers and 
lots of quality expected for the start of the June feeder specials next week.

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  small package 390 lbs 165.00; 
400-500 lbs 147.00-168.00; 500-600 lbs 137.00-145.00; small package calves
725 lbs 124.00. Large 1  540-575 lbs 135.00-136.25. 

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  small package 275 lbs 169.00; 
11 head 380 lbs 147.50; 400-500 lbs 130.00-144.50; 500-600 lbs 126.00-130.00,
few fleshy 122.00-126.00; 10 head 660 lbs 122.00. 

   Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2  450-525 lbs 130.00-152.00; 700-750 lbs 
117.50-119.50.
