Feeder Cattle Auction Report for  2/13/2013

Receipts:  357    Last Week:  810    Year Ago: 225

   Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers and heifers 2.00-8.00 lower. 
Slaughter cows 2.00-3.00 lower. Supply light. Near 22 percent of the offering
was cows and 27 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply 
approximately 52 percent steers and bulls and 48 percent heifers. Mostly bad
news in the feeder market right now led by struggling beef demand. 

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  300-400 lbs 178.00-192.00; 400-
500 lbs 165.00-184.00; 500-600 lbs 145.00-166.00; 600-700 lbs 143.00-152.00; 
700-750 lbs few 131.50-132.00. Medium 1-2  small package 445 lbs 155.00. 

   Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 and 1-2  300-400 lbs 145.00-166.00; 400-
500 lbs 136.50-150.00, small package fleshy 465 lbs 131.50; 500-600 lbs 132.50-
138.00; 10 head 680 lbs 128.00; package 765 lbs 124.75. Medium and Large 2  390-
575 lbs 120.00-130.00. Medium 1-2  400-500 lbs 126.00-135.00. 

   Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2  460-530 lbs 145.00-162.50; 550-650 lbs
124.00-136.00; 700-800 lbs 112.00-124.50.
