Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for Thursday 11/10/2016

Cattle and Calves: 1944      Week ago: 2538      Year Ago:  2310

   Compared to last week:  Feeder cattle and calves mostly 2.00-3.00 lower
except several packages pre-conditioned steer calves under 550 lbs firm to
4.00 higher.  Supply included several offerings with thirty to sixty days
pre-conditioning and one string of gaunt steer and heifer yearlings from a 
reputation producer.  Slaughter cows and bulls firm.  Bulk supply Medium and 
Large 1-2 350-850 lb feeder steers and heifers.  Slaughter cows made up 20 
percent, slaughter bulls less than 1 percent, replacement cows less than 1 
percent, and feeders 80 percent.  The feeder supply included 58 percent 
steers and 42 percent heifers.  Near 67 percent of the run weighed over 
600 lbs.

   Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs value added 156.00-157.00;
400-500 lbs 136.00-148.00, value added 152.00-156.00; 500-600 lbs 126.00-
131.00, lot 545 lbs value added 142.50; 600-700 lbs calves 109.00-117.00,
value added 114.50-121.00; pkg 780 lbs 116.00; few 700-725 lb calves 108.00-
109.75; pkg 845 lb calves 107.00.
   Medium and Large 1-2  few 400-450 lbs 136.00-137.00, pkg 495 lbs 128.00;
