Feeder cattle narrative report for Thursday 10/13/16.

Cattle and Calves: 3,132      Week ago: 1,877      Year Ago: 2,421        


   Compared to last week:  Steer and heifer calves under 700 lbs weak to 10.00 
lower with the most decline on heifer calves and 600-700 lb steer calves.  Steer 
and heifer feeders over 700 lbs 2.00-5.00 lower.  Slaughter cows and bulls 1.00-
2.00 higher.  Bulk supply Medium and Large 1-2 250-890 lb feeder steers and 
heifers.  Slaughter cows made up 12 percent, slaughter bulls less than 1 
percent, replacement cows less than 1 percent, and feeders 88 percent.  The 
feeder supply included 64 percent steers and 36 percent heifers.  Near 71 
percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
