Cattle and Calves: 1380         Week ago: 1038      Year Ago: 3089           

   Compared to week ago:  Feeder steers mostly steady except 500-600 lb 
steers 1.00-2.00 higher; heifers under 700 lbs firm to 3.00 higher, instances 
5.00 higher on value added and thin gaunt kinds, over 700 lbs not well tested.  
Slaughter cows and bulls steady to weak.  Trade and demand moderate to good.  
Bulk supply Medium and Large 1-2 350-800 lb feeder steers and heifers.  
Slaughter cows made up 20 percent and slaughter bulls less than 1 percent, 
replacement cows 2 percent, and feeders 77 percent.  The feeder supply included 
40 percent steers and 60 percent heifers.  Near 41 percent of the run weighed 
over 600 lbs.

   Steers:  Medium and Large 1 few 300-375 lb 185.00-194.00; three pkgs 445-492 
lbs fleshy 166.00-178.00; 500-600 lbs pre-conditioned 160.00-167.00; 600-700 lbs
