Cattle and Calves: 1891      Week Ago: 2293         Year Ago: 3696

   Compared to last week:  Feeder steers and heifers under 600 and 
steers over 600 lbs firm with instances thin and gaunt or value added 
kinds 2.00-3.00 higher; heifers over 600 lbs mostly 2.00-4.00 higher.  
Slaughter cows and bulls firm.  Trade active and demand good.  Bulk 
supply Medium and Large 1-2 350-925 lb feeder steers and heifers.  
Slaughter cows made up 11 percent, slaughter bulls less than 1 percent, 
replacement cows 0 percent, and feeders 89 percent.  The feeder supply 
included 62 percent steers and 38 percent heifers.  Near 58 percent of 
the run weighed over 600 lbs.

   Steers:  Medium and Large 1  200-300 lbs 214.00-219.00; 300-400 lbs 
203.00-217.00, few 312 lbs thin 227.00; 400-450 lbs 182.00-191.00; 450-
500 lbs 167.00-179.00; 500-600 lbs 165.00-178.00, thin 192.00-196.00; 
600-700 lbs 149.00-151.50, thin 157.75-160.00; 700-800 lbs 146.00-
151.50, few 796 lbs 144.50, calves 138.50-143.00; load 803 lbs all-
natural 151.75; load 925 lbs fleshy 135.50.
