Slaughter Sheep: Compared to last week's sale a heavier supply on offer to
meet demand for the Christmas Holiday. Heavier lambs weighing over 90 lbs
sold mostly steady. Lighter lambs from 40-90 lbs traded 10.00-15.00 lower.
Ewes traded mostly 5.00 higher. Bucks sold mostly 10.00 lower. Demand was
moderate. Slaughter supply consisted of 81 percent lambs, 16 pecent ewes, and
3 percent bucks. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Lambs Wooled and Shorn: High Choice and Prime 2-3 90-110 lbs
182.00-205.00; 110-130 lbs 170.00-193.00; 150-200 lbs 135.00-137.00. Choice
1-2 40-60 lbs 210.00-245.00, hair sheep 210.00-245.00; 60-80 lbs 180.00-
250.00, hair sheep 177.00-215.00; 80-90 lbs 172.00-195.00, hair sheep 170.00-
181.00. Choice 2-3 90-110 lbs 155.00-185.00, hair sheep 147.00-175.00; 110-
130 lbs 137.00-167.00, hair sheep 135.00-152.00. Good and Choice 1-2 40-60
lbs 200.00-225.00, hair sheep 182.00-230.00; 60-80 lbs 175.00-200.00, hair

Slaughter Ewes: Good 2-3 120-160 lbs 70.00-90.00, hair sheep 95.00-
120.00; 160-200 lbs 80.00-95.00. Utility 1-2 120-160 lbs 80.00; 160-200 lbs
60.00-82.00.
Slaughter Bucks: 120-160 lbs Hair Sheep 75.00-95.00; 160-200 lbs 60.00-
95.00; 200-300 lbs 70.00-90.00.
Slaughter Goats: Compared to last week, a heavy run of goats on offer for
the upcoming Christmas Holiday. Number 1 and Number 2 kid goats sold 5.00-
10.00 higher with good demand. Number 3 kids sold 5.00-10.00 lower. Nannies
traded mostly 10.00-20.00 higher on a heavy supply. Demand was moderate.
Bucks 20.00-40.00 lower with moderate demand. Wethers traded firm. Today's
goat supply consisted of 52 percent Slaughter Kids, 30 percent Slaughter
Nannies, and 18 percent bucks/billies and wethers. All goats are sold by the
head on estimated weights.
