subjected to USDA carcass grading, and marketed through mainstream 
outlets. Non-Traditional markets refer to lambs destined for slaughter 
outside of what would be termed as traditional markets. ***

   Slaughter Sheep: Compared to last week, Slaughter lambs sold unevenly 
steady with weakness noted in lambs weighing under 80 lbs. There was a 
large supply of heavy lambs weighing over 100 lbs on offer today. These
lambs sold with a firm undertone. Slaughter ewes sold steady to firm 
compared to a light test last week. Bucks sold steady to 10.00 lower on 
a light test. Demand was moderate. Supply consisted of 89 percent 
slaughter lambs, 10 percent slaughter ewes, and 1 percent slaughter bucks. 
All sheep and lambs are sold by the hundredweight, on actual weights.

   Slaughter Bucks: 160-200 lbs 64.00-77.00, hair sheep 80.00-85.00; 200-
300 lbs 65.00-107.00.

   Slaughter Goats: Compared to last week, Slaughter kids sold mostly 
steady to firm on better quality supplies compared to a very light test 
last week. Slaughter nannies sold steady to 10.00 higher. Slaughter
bucks sold mostly steady with some firmness noted in Number 1 bucks
weighing over 150 lbs. Wethers sold firm on a very light test compared 
to a very light test the previous week. Demand was moderate for all 
classes. A moderate supply consisted of 50 percent Slaughter Kids, 32  
percent Slaughter Nannies, and 18 percent bucks/billies and wethers. 
All goats are sold by the head on estimated weights.
