Slaughter Sheep: Sheep report is based on a limited market test due
to limited reporting hours on the Martin Luther King Holiday. Compared
to last week, slaughter lambs sold mostly steady to 20.00 lower on
better quality supplies. Slaughter ewes sold mostly 10.00-20.00 lower.
Bucks sold steady on a very light test. Demand was moderate to good.
Supply consisted of 83 percent slaughter lambs, 16 percent slaughter
ewes, and 1 percent slaughter bucks. All sheep and lambs are sold by
the hundredweight, on actual weights.
Slaughter Lambs: Wooled & Shorn Choice and Prime 2-3 40-50 lbs
315.00-320.00; 50-60 lbs 287.00-290.00, hair sheep 290.00; 70-80 lbs
262.00-275.00; 90-110 lbs 195.00-217.00, hair sheep 200.00-225.00; 130-
150 lbs 145.00-177.00; 150-200 lbs 137.00-147.00. Wooled & Shorn Choice
2-3 50-60 lbs 247.00-255.00, hair sheep 245.00-260.00; 60-70 lbs 257.00-

Slaughter Ewes: Good 2-3 80-120 lbs hair sheep 117.00-132.00, 120-
160 lbs 90.00-125.00, hair sheep 82.00-115.00; 160-200 lbs 80.00-92.00;
200-300 lbs 82.00-95.00.
Slaughter Bucks: 200-300 lbs 85.00-110.00, hair sheep 100.00-102.00.
Slaughter Goats: Compared to last week, slaughter kids sold mostly
steady on better quality supplies with some weakness noted in heavier
kids weighing over 80 lbs. Slaughter nannies sold mostly steady.
Slaughter bucks sold mostly steady on better quality supplies with some
firmness noted in number 3 bucks. Wethers sold firm on a very light test.
Demand was moderate to good for all classes with a lighter supply of
better quality offerings. Supply consisted of 58 percent Slaughter Kids,
29 percent Slaughter Nannies, and 13 percent bucks/billies and wethers.
All goats are sold by the head on estimated weights.

210.00-220.00; 60-80 lbs 225.00-235.00, wethers 220.00-265.00; 80-100 lbs
225.00-260.00, wethers 225.00-255.00; 100-120 lbs 250.00-260.00.
