mainstream outlets. Non-Traditional markets refer to lambs destined
for slaughter outside of what would be termed as traditional markets. ***
Slaughter Sheep: When compared to last Monday's sale, lambs sold
mostly steady to 20.00 lower. Slaughter ewes sold mostly steady with
lighter supply. Throughout most of the sale demand was good but as it
progressed and buyers filled their orders, demand slumped. Slaughter
supply consisted of 86 percent lambs, 10 percent slaughter ewes, and
4 percent slaughter bucks. All sheep and lambs are destined for non-
traditional markets. All sheep and lambs are sold by the hundredweight,
on actual weights.
Slaughter Lambs: Wooled & Shorn Choice and Prime 2-3 40-50 lbs hair
sheep 240.00; 50-60 lbs hair sheep 234.00-257.00; 60-70 lbs 250.00, hair
sheep 225.00-242.00; 70-80 lbs 224.00-235.00, hair sheep 222.00-232.00;
80-90 lbs 220.00-227.00; 90-100 lbs 184.00-204.00; 110-130 lbs 166.00-
170.00, hair sheep 166.00-170.00. Wooled & Shorn Choice 2-3 50-70 lbs

Slaughter Bucks: 100-110 lbs hair sheep 175.00-210.00; 120-160 lbs 114.00
-132.00; 200-300 lbs 67.00-106.00.
Slaughter Goats: Compared to last week, Slaughter kids sold mostly
steady to 20.00 higher. Nannies traded mostly steady to 10.00 lower. Bucks
traded mostly steady to 20.00 higher. Demand was moderate for all classes.
Supply consisted of 41 percent Slaughter Kids, 41 percent Slaughter Nannies,
and 18 percent bucks/billies and wethers. All goats are sold by the head on
estimated weights.
Slaughter Kids: Selection 1 40-50 lbs 187.00-205.00; 50-60 lbs 215.00
-240.00, wethers 220.00-250.00; 60-80 lbs 200.00-230.00, wethers 245.00-
280.00. Selection 2 40-50 lbs 125.00-162.00; 50-60 lbs 155.00-170.00,
wethers 200.00-230.00; 60-80 lbs 167.00-185.00, wethers 235.00-250.00.
