subjected to USDA carcass grading, and marketed through mainstream
outlets. Non-Traditional markets refer to lambs destined for slaughter
outside of what would be termed as traditional markets. ***
Sheep and Lambs: When compared to last week, slaughter lambs sold
mostly 20.00-40.00 lower. Slaughter ewes traded steady. Demand was
moderate for all classes. Slaughter supply consisted of 80 percent
lambs, 15 percent slaughter ewes, and 5 percent miscellaneous stock.
All sheep and lambs are destined for non-traditional markets. All
sheep and lambs are sold by the hundred weight,on actual weights.

Choice and Prime 2-3 40-60 lbs 160.00-187.00; 60-80 lbs 155.00-

Slaughter Bucks: 100-150 lbs hair sheep 50.00-90.00; 140-160

Slaughter Goats: When compared to last week, slaughter kid goats
sold mostly steady to 10.00 higher. Slaughter Nanny goats sold
mostly steady to 10.00 lower. Slaughter billies sold steady. Demand
was moderate for all classes. Slaughter supply consisted of 46
percent Slaughter Kids, 42 percent Slaughter Nannies, and 12 percent
bucks/billies and wethers. All Goats are sold by the head on
estimated weights.
Slaughter Kids: Selection 1 40-60 lbs 130.00-160.00; 60-80 lbs
162.00-185.00; 90-110 lbs 177.00-200.00. Selection 2 40-60 lbs
86.00-100.00; 60-80 lbs 154.00-160.00; 80-90 lbs 150.00-160.00;
90-110 lbs 127.00-150.00. Selection 3 40-60 lbs 60.00-82.00; 60-80
lbs 75.00-95.00; 80-90 lbs 94.00-110.00.
