subjected to USDA carcass grading, and marketed through mainstream
outlets. Non-Traditional markets refer to lambs destined for slaughter
outside of what would be termed as traditional markets. ***

   Sheep and Lambs: When compared to last week, slaughter lambs sold
mostly steady to 10.00 higher compared last week. Slaughter ewes
traded weak compared to last week. Demand was good for all classes.
Slaughter supply consisted of 75 percent lambs, 22 percent slaughter
ewes, and 3 percent miscellaneous stock. All sheep and lambs are
destined for non-traditional markets. All sheep and lambs are sold
by the hundred weight,on actual weights.

   Slaughter Lambs: Non-Traditional Markets: Wooled & Shorn Choice and
Prime 2-3 40-50 lbs 200.00-210.00; 40-60 lbs hair sheep 182.00-200.00;
50-70 lbs 174.00-200.00; 60-70 lbs hair sheep 162.00-180.00; 70-90 lbs
182.00-195.00, hair sheep 167.00-187.00; 90-110 lbs 165.00-188.00;
110-130 lbs 160.00-168.00. Wooled and Shorn Choice and Prime 3-4 40-50
lbs 215.00-220.00; 50-60 lbs 200.00-215.00; 60-80 lbs 178.00-182.00.

   Slaughter Bucks: 145 lbs 76.00; 160-200 lbs 50.00-70.00; 215-250

   Slaughter Goats: When compared to last week, slaughter kid goats
sold mostly firm compared last week on a light test. Nanny goats sold
mostly firm on a light test. Slaughter billies sold mostly 10.00-20.00
higher compared to last week. Demand was moderate for all classes.
Slaughter supply consisted of 44 percent Slaughter Kids, 34 percent
Slaughter Nannies, and 22 percent bucks/billies and wethers. All Goats
are sold by the head on estimated weights.
          
    Slaughter Kids: Selection 1  40-60 lbs 102.00-177.00; 60-80 lbs
130.00-165.00; 90-110 lbs 140.00-167.00 110-130 lbs 155.00-160.00.
Selection 2 40-60 lbs 88.00-100.00; 80-100 lbs 100.00-130.00.
Selection 3 40-60 lbs 70.00-85.00; 60-80 lbs 100.00-110.00.   

    Slaughter Nannies/Does: Selection 1 110-120 lbs 137.00-140.00;
