Compared to last week, Not enough Slaughter steers last week for a
comparison but a higher undertone noted. High dressing Lean Steers are
steers sold primarily to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean.
Those steers sold 4.00-5.00 lower on moderate demand. Slaughter Holstein
steers not tested last week so no comparison. Slaughter heifers not
tested. Slaughter cows sold 3.00-4.00 higher. Demand good. Slaughter
bulls sold 2.00-3.00 higher on good demand. Cattle supplies included
295 steers; 124 heifers; 277 cows; 197 bulls; and 176 feeder calves.
