Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher compared
to a very light test last week. High dressing Lean Steers are steers are
sold primarily to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those
steers sold mostly 2.00-3.00 lower on light demand. Slaughter Holstein
steers not tested last week so no comparison. Slaughter heifers not
tested last week so no comparison. Demand was good for the conventional
steers and heifers. Slaughter cows sold steady to 1.00 lower with
moderate demand. Slaughter bulls sold 1.00-2.00 lower with moderate
demand. Cattle supplies included 229 slaughter steers; 82 heifers;
289 cows; 120 bulls and 452 feeder cattle. All prices quoted per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 2-3 1500-1550 lbs few 105.00-
105.50. Choice 2-3 1250-1400 lbs 96.00-101.00. Select 1-2 1150-1500 lbs
90.00-95.50. High Dressing Lean steers 1200-1650 lbs 97.00-110.50,

Number 3 65-95 lbs 40.00-55.00; 95-115 lbs 50.00-75.00. Utility 65-
