   Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold steady to 1.00 lower on
another light test. High dressing Lean Steers are steers are sold primarily
to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold mostly
3.00-4.00 higher. Slaughter Holstein not tested. Slaughter heifers not
tested. Demand was moderate on the conventional steers and good on the
ethnic steers. Slaughter cows sold steady to 1.00 higher with good demand.
Slaughter bulls sold 1.00-2.00 lower with moderate demand. Cattle supplies
included 140 slaughter steers; 111 heifers; 335 cows; 129 bulls and
152
 feeder cattle. All prices quoted per cwt.

   Slaughter Steers: Choice 2-3  1250-1600 lbs few 92.00-94.00. Select
2-3  1250-1500 lbs few 86.00-87.00. High Dressing Lean steers 1200-1650
lbs 90.00-118.00, few 122.00-126.00. 

   Slaughter Holsteins: Not tested.

   Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull
calves sold 20.0025.00 higher. Demand was good. 

   Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1  90-125 lbs 92.00-114.00. Number 2
80-125 lbs 75.00-95.00. Number 3  75-100 lbs 50.00-75.00. Utility  75-
120 lbs 30.00-65.00; 50-70 lbs 15.00-45.00.
