   Compared to last Monday's sale, Not enough Slaughter steers for a market
test but a firm undertone noted. Demand was good. High dressing Lean Steers
are steers sold primarily to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean.
Those steers sold 4.00-5.00 higher. Slaughter Holstein steers not tested.
Slaughter heifers not tested. Slaughter cows sold steady to 1.00 higher.   
Slaughter bulls sold 1.00-2.00 higher. Cattle supplies included 163 slaughter
steers; 103 heifers; 283 cows; 98 bulls and 118 feeder cattle. All prices
quoted per cwt.

   Slaughter Steers: High Dressing Lean Steers 120.00-134.00, few 138.00-
139.00.

   Slaughter Holstein Steers: Not tested.

   Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Holstein bull calves sold mostly 10.00-
15.00 higher. Demand was moderate. All prices per cwt.

Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1  65-120 lbs 185.00-225.00. Number 2  75-105
lbs 150.00-180.00. Number 3  70-115 lbs 135.00-150.00. Utility  80-100 lbs
100.00-120.00.
