When compared to last Monday's sale, Slaughter steers traded mostly 1.00-2.00
lower on a very light test. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily
to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Today those steers traded
3.00-4.00 lower than last week. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady to 2.00 higher
compared to last week. Demand was good. Slaughter Bulls sold mostly weak. Cattle
supplies included 88 slaughter steers; 125 heifers; 328 cows; 96 bulls and
53 feeder cattle. All prices quoted per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: Choice 2-3 1350-1650 lbs 160.00-166.00. Select 1-3 1300-1650
lbs 154.00-158.00. High dressing Lean Steers 167.00-174.00.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull calves sold

heifer calves sold sharply higher on a very light test. Demand was good. All prices

Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 100-120 lbs 410.00-435.00; 85-100 lbs 450.00-460.00.
Number 2 100-120 lbs 385-.00-425.00; 80-100 lbs 375.00-435.00. Number 3 115-120 lbs
