When compared to last Monday's sale, slaughter cows sold steady to weak
with good demand. Slaughter bulls traded sharply higher, mostly 6.00-8.00
higher. Demand was good with most of the bulls destined for non-traditional
ethnic-based markets. Cattle supply included 118 slaughter steers, 97
heifers, 359 cows, 153 bulls, and 131 feeders. All prices quoted per cwt.

Calves: Compared to last week Holstein bull calves sold mostly steady.
Demand was moderate. Heifers sold steady to firm with light demand. All
calves are Holstein unless otherwise noted. All prices per cwt.
Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 95-120 lbs 150.00-165.00; 85-90 lbs
135.00-145.00. Number 2 95-125 lbs 120.00-145.00; 80-90 lbs 110.00-135.00.
Number 3 95-130 lbs 80.00-110.00; 80-90 lbs 60.00-80.00. Utility 65-110 lbs
20.00-60.00.
Holstein Heifers: Number 1 90-105 lbs 100.00-115.00. Number 2 75-100 lbs
