Compared to last week's sale, slaughter cows sold 1.00-3.00 higher with
good demand. Bulls traded 4.00 lower on a lighter supply. Demand was
moderate. Cattle supply included 117 slaughter steers, 133 heifers, 296 cows,
161 bulls, and 59 feeders. All prices quoted per cwt.

Calves: Compared to last Monday`s sale, Holstein bull calves sold sharply
higher with number 1 calves trading mostly 20.00-30.00, and number 2 and 3
calves up to 60.00 higher. Light weight calves less than 90 lbs experienced
the sharpest increase in price. Demand was very good demand. Heifers traded
steady to firm with light demand. All calves are Holstein unless otherwise
noted. All prices per cwt.
Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 95-125 lbs 135.00-157.00; 80-90 lbs
130.00-140.00. Number 2 95-120 lbs 120.00-145.00; 80-90 lbs 100.00-125.00.
Number 3 95-120 lbs 60.00-110.00; 70-95 lbs 50.00-90.00. Utility 60-115 lbs
30.00-50.00.
Holstein Heifers: Number 1 85-105 lbs 80.00-110.00. Number 2 55-90 lbs
45.00-60.00. Non-Tubing/Utility 55-75 lbs 32.00-42.00.
