Cow and Bull Auction 5/22/13
Receipts: 904 Last Week: 802 Last Year: 1135
Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00 lower and
slaughter bulls sold 3.00-4.00 lower. Packer buyers indicated that meat
is moving slow causing packers to take money off the meat and this coupled
with less buyers being active in the slaughter market today caused prices
to decline. The offering included a moderate supply of bred cows and a
light supply of cow/calf pairs. Supply was moderate and demand was light
to moderate for slaughter classes.

1175.00; short and solid mouth to aged 2nd and 3rd stage 1100-1220 lbs
960.00-1050.00. Large 1-2 4 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd and 3rd stage
