Compared to last Monday at same market, stocker and feeder cattle steady to 2.00
lower. Trade active with good demand. Cattle futures sharply lower today, partially
in response to last Fridays bearish Cattle on Feed report. In addition, those
heavy December placements coupled with large numbers in January has feed yard
pen space diminishing. Slaughter cows 1.00-3.00 lower. Slaughter bulls 5.00-6.00
higher in a light test. Trade moderate with moderate to good demand. Slaughter cows
made up 24 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 5 percent, and feeders 71
percent of the supply. The feeder supply included 53 percent steers and 47 percent
heifers. Near 91 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.

Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: 400-500 lbs 130.00; 500-600 lbs 124.75-
132.00; 600-700 lbs 117.50-127.00; 700-800 lbs 113.00-120.00.
