Compared to last Monday at the same market, stocker and feeder cattle
steady to 5.00 higher. Trade active with good demand for increased offerings.
Slaughter cows 1.00-4.00 higher. Slaughter bulls 7.00-8.00 higher. Trade
active with good demand. Once again, good movement of slaughter cattle last
week as prices were 3.00 higher. Slaughter cows made up 31 percent of the
offering, slaughter Bulls 5 percent, and feeders 64 percent of the supply.
The feeder supply included 67 percent steers and 33 percent heifers. Near 85
percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2: 400-500 lbs 191.50; 500-600 lbs 178.50-
182.00; 500-600 lbs 162.00, Full; 600-700 lbs 162.00-173.00; 700-800 lbs 149.00-
160.00; 700-800 lbs 144.00, Full.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: 500-600 lbs 162.50-169.00; 600-700 lbs
147.00-155.00; 600-700 lbs 161.50, Thin Fleshed; 700-800 lbs 144.00. Large 1-2:
900-1000 lbs 119.00, Heiferettes; 1000-1100 lbs 115.00, Heiferettes.
