Receipts: 300 Last Week: 175 Year Ago: 285
Compared to last Monday at the same market, not enough stocker or feeder
cattle last week for an accurate market test. Trade active with good demand.
Slaughter cows 2.00-3.00 higher with quality more attractive than last week
with weighing conditions in buyers favor. Most buyers favor Lean type cows.
Slaughter bulls 1.00-2.00 higher. Trade active with good demand. Slaughter
cows made up 62 percent of the offering, Slaughter bulls 5 percent, and
feeders 33 percent of the supply. The feeder supply included 44 percent
steers and 56 percent heifers. Near 88 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2: 700-800 lbs 208.00-217.00.
Feeder Holstein: Steers Large 2-3: 500-600 lbs 178.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: 600-700 lbs 190.00; 600-700 lbs 212.00,
Thin Fleshed; 700-800 lbs 185.00.
