Compared to last Monday at the same market, not enough stocker or feeder cattle
this week for accurate trends. Most of the offerings were small lots and
singles. Trade active with moderate to good demand. Slaughter cows 1.00-2.00 lower.
Slaughter bulls steady. Trade moderate to active with moderate demand. Slaughter
cows made up 70 percent of the offering, Slaughter bulls 5 percent, and feeders 25
percent of the supply. The feeder supply included 51 percent steers and 49 percent
heifers. Near 49 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2: 500-600 lbs 260.00; 600-700 lbs 235.00;
700-800 lbs 207.00; 700-800 lbs 192.00, Brahman X. Small and Medium 1-2: 500-600
lbs 236.00.
Feeder Holstein Steers: Large 2-3: 500-600 lbs 205.00.
Feeder Bulls: Small 4: 66 lbs 50.00, Per Head.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: 400-500 lbs 254.00; 500-600 lbs 233.00;
700-800 lbs 183.00; 700-800 lbs 172.00, Full; 800-900 lbs 168.50. Small and
Medium 4: 300-400 lbs 231.00.
