Compared to last Monday at the same market, not enough stocker or feeder
cattle last week for accurate trends, however a sharply higher undertone was
noted. Trade very active with very good demand on increased receipts.
Slaughter cows and bulls 1.00-4.00 higher. Trade very active with very good
demand. Slaughter cows made up 28 percent of the offering, Slaughter bulls 5
percent, and feeders 67 percent of the supply. The feeder supply included 54
percent steers and 46 percent heifers. Near 63 percent of the run weighed
over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2: 400-500 lbs 275.00; 400-500 lbs 232.00,
Full; 500-600 lbs 234.00-242.00; 500-600 lbs 212.00, Full; 600-700 lbs 219.00-
228.50; 700-800 lbs 206.00-218.00; 800-900 lbs 192.00-203.00. Large 1-2: 1000-
1100 lbs 160.00; 1100-1200 lbs 156.00.
Feeder Holstein Steers: Large 2-3: 600-700 lbs 141.00.
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2: 500-600 lbs 220.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: 400-500 lbs 225.00-232.00; 400-500 lbs
