Compared to last Monday at the same market, not enough stocker or feeder cattle
this week for accurate trends, however a sharply lower undertone was noted. Trade
slow to moderate with light to moderate demand. Slaughter cows 2.00-3.00 lower.
Slaughter bulls 1.00-2.00 higher. Trade slow to moderate with light demand.
Slaughter cows made up 57 percent of the offering, Slaughter bulls 5 percent, and
feeders 38 percent of the supply. The feeder supply included 61 percent steers and
39 percent heifers. Near 48 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2: 300-400 lbs 266.00; 400-500 lbs 230.00;
500-600 lbs 222.00; 600-700 lbs 194.00.
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2: 400-500 lbs 242.00; 500-600 lbs 210.00-
220.00; 700-800 lbs 168.00-173.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: 400-500 lbs 211.00-221.00; 600-700 lbs
170.00-176.00; 600-700 lbs 193.00, Thin Fleshed; 700-800 lbs 175.50. Small and
Medium 1-2: 600-700 lbs 161.00.
