Compared to last Monday at the same sale, not enough stocker or feeder
steers for accurate price trends. Stocker and feeder heifers mostly 9.00-
10.00 lower in a light test. Trade slow to moderate with moderate demand.
Slaughter cows 2.00-3.00 lower. Slaughter bulls steady. Trade moderate with
moderate demand. Slaughter cows made up 52 percent of the offering,
Slaughter bulls 10 percent, and feeders 38 percent of the supply. The feeder
supply included 41 percent steers and 59 percent heifers. Near 62 percent of
the run weighed over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2: 500-600 lbs 230.00-242.00; 600-700 lbs
234.50; 700-800 lbs 214.00; 800-900 lbs 200.00. Small and Medium 1-2: 500-600
lbs 222.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: 300-400 lbs 250.00; 400-500 lbs
240.00-245.00; 500-600 lbs 222.00; 700-800 lbs 186.00-189.50; 800-900 lbs
191.00-197.00.
