Compared to last Monday at the same market, stocker and feeder cattle
steady to firm in a light test. Trade active with good demand. Slaughter cows
steady to weak. Slaughter bulls 7.00-8.00 lower. Trade active with good
demand. Slaughter cows made up 51 percent of the offering, Slaughter bulls 10
percent, and feeders 39 percent of the supply. The feeder supply included 59
percent steers and 41 percent heifers. Near 71 percent of the run weighed
over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2: 400-500 lbs 232.00; 500-600 lbs 206.00;
600-700 lbs 185.00-196.00; 600-700 lbs 203.00, Thin Fleshed; 700-800 lbs 183.00;
800-900 lbs 162.00. Large 1-2: 1000-1100 lbs 143.00.

Demand Good. The feeder supply included 63 percent steers and 37 percent
heifers. Near 42 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs. Prices are FOB weighing
point with a 1-4 percent shrink or equivalent and with a 5-10 cent slide on calves
and a 3-7 cent slide on yearlings. Deliveries are current through Dec 2014.
