Compared to last Monday at the same market, Stocker and feeder cattle weak
in a light test. Trade slow with light demand. Slaughter cows 4.00-5.00
higher. Slaughter bulls steady in a light test. Trade very active with very
good demand and good buyer participation. Weighing condition?s in buyers
favor. Slaughter cows made up 54 percent of the offering, Slaughter bulls 5
percent, 5 percent replacement cows, and feeders 36 percent of the supply.
The feeder supply included 51 percent steers and 49 percent heifers. Near 29
percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2: 300-400 lbs 170.00; 400-500 lbs 168.00;
500-600 lbs 139.50; 600-700 lbs 135.00-138.50; 800-900 lbs 123.00. Large 1-2:
900-1000 lbs 120.00. Small and Medium 1-2: 400-500 lbs 139.00-145.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: 400-500 lbs 137.00-143.00; 500-600 lbs
131.50-133.00; 800-900 lbs 112.00; 800-900 lbs 78.00, Full. Large 2-3: 900-1000
lbs 92.00, Heiferettes. Small and Medium 1-2: 300-400 lbs 134.00-142.00.
Bred Heifers (Per Head): Medium and Large 1-2: 950-1000 lbs. 6-9 mos. bred
