Compared to last Monday at the same market, Stocker and feeder steers
steady to weak. Not enough stocker or feeder heifers this week for accurate
trends. Trade active with moderate demand. Slaughter cows and bulls steady to
3.00 higher. Trade active with good demand. Slaughter cows made up 50 percent
of the offering, Slaughter bulls 5 percent, and feeders 45 percent of the
supply. The feeder supply included 59 percent steers and 41 percent heifers.
Near 62 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2: 500-600 lbs 160.00-161.00; 600-700 lbs
142.00; 700-800 lbs 132.00-135.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: 400-500 lbs 133.00; 600-700 lbs 132.00;
700-800 lbs 115.00, Full; 800-900 lbs 95.00, Heiferettes. Small and Medium 2-3:
700-800 lbs 95.00, Heiferettes.
