Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Tuesday August 23, 2016.

Cattle Receipts: 4,098   Last Week: 3,932   Last Year: 4,344

  Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly 
steady. All feeder classes sold steady to 3.00 lower. Trade active 
with moderate demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs sold 
mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 7 percent of the offerings, 
bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 4 percent, and feeders 
88 percent. The feeder supply included 39 percent steers, 39 
percent heifers, and 22 percent bulls. Near 36 percent of the run 
weighed over 600 lbs.
