Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Wednesday August 3, 2016.

Cattle Receipts: 2,592       Last Week: 2,329       Last Year: 2,248

   Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly
steady. All feeder classes sold 3.00 to 6.00 higher. Trade moderate 
with good demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs sold mostly 
steady. Slaughter cows made up 7 percent of the offerings, bulls 1 
percent, replacement cows and pairs 5 percent, and feeders 87 percent. 
The feeder supply included 27 percent steers, 41 percent heifers, and 
32 percent bulls. Near 23 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
