Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Wednesday June 1, 2016.

Cattle Receipts: 2,022   Last Week: 1,867   Last Year: 2,795 

  Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows sold steady, bulls sold 
1.00 higher. Feeder steers and bulls sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher. Feeder 
heifers sold 3.00 to 5.00 higher. Trade moderate with moderate demand 
on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs sold mostly steady. Slaughter 
cows made up 10 percent of the offerings, bulls 1 percent, replacement 
cows and pairs 9 percent, and feeders 80 percent. The feeder supply 
included 20 percent steers, 41 percent heifers, and 39 percent bulls. 
Near 26 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
