Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Wednesday May 18, 2016.

Cattle Receipts: 2,144   Last Week: 2,341   Last Year: 2,191 

  Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows sold 1.00 higher, bulls 
sold steady. All feeder classes sold mostly steady. Trade active 
with moderate demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs sold 
mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 7 percent of the offerings, 
bulls 2 percent, replacement cows and pairs 6 percent, and feeders 
85 percent. The feeder supply included 16 percent steers, 39 percent 
heifers, and 45 percent bulls. Near 19 percent of the run weighed 
over 600 lbs.
