Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Wednesday May 4, 2016.

Cattle Receipts: 2,186   Last Week: 1,850   Last Year: 3,780 

  Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to
1.00 higher. All feeder classes sold steady to 1.00 higher. Trade 
moderate with moderate demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs 
sold mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 10 percent of the offerings, 
bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 10 percent, and feeders 79 
percent. The feeder supply included 31 percent steers, 29 percent 
heifers, and 40 percent bulls. Near 21 percent of the run weighed over 
600 lbs.
