Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Thursday April 21, 2016.

Cattle Receipts: 1,310   Last Week: 1,439   Last Year: 1,363 

  Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady 
to 3.00 lower. All feeder classes sold 6.00 to 10.00 lower. Trade 
moderate with light demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs 
sold mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 8 percent of the 
offerings, bulls 2 percent, replacement cows and pairs 12 percent, 
and feeders 78 percent. The feeder supply included 20 percent 
steers, 41 percent heifers, and 39 percent bulls. Near 16 percent 
of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
