Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Tuesday March 29, 2016.

Cattle Receipts: 2,871   Last Week: 2,678   Last Year: 2,740 

  Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly 
steady. All feeder classes sold mostly steady. Trade moderate 
with moderate demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs sold 
mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 9 percent of the offerings, 
bulls 2 percent, replacement cows and pairs 12 percent, and 
feeders 77 percent. The feeder supply included 12 percent steers, 
46 percent heifers, and 42 percent bulls. Near 12 percent of the 
run weighed over 600 lbs.
