Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Thursday September 24, 2015.

Cattle Receipts: 2,089   Last Week: 2,336   Last Year:  2,358

   Compared to a week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold 1.00 to 4.00 
lower. All feeder classes sold 5.00 to 10.00 lower. Trade moderate 
with light to moderate demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs 
sold mostly steady to 100.00 per head lower. Slaughter cows made up 9 
percent of the offerings, bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 
9 percent, and feeders 81 percent. The feeder supply included 21 
percent steers, 50 percent heifers, and 29 percent bulls. Near 27 
percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
